Do you audit SMSFs for other accountants?
Yes. Many accounting firms engage me as their independent SMSF auditor for their clients’ funds. Because I’m independent of the fund’s accounting and advice, your clients’ audits stay fully at arm’s length and compliant.
How quickly can you complete an SMSF audit?
Turnaround depends on the time of year and how complete the information is, but I pride myself on being responsive and meeting lodgement deadlines. Get your paperwork to me early and I’ll keep you posted throughout.
What information do you need from me?
For an audit, I’ll provide a clear checklist: generally the financial statements, member records, bank and investment statements, and supporting documents. For bookkeeping and BAS, I work from your Xero file and the source documents you provide.
Are you registered and qualified?
Yes. I’m a member of the Institute of Public Accountants (MIPA), an ASIC-registered SMSF auditor, and a Registered BAS Agent (number 25726237). I’m also covered by the IPA Professional Standards Scheme.
Where are you based, and do you work with clients outside the Gold Coast?
I’m based on Tamborine Mountain and serve the Gold Coast community, but I work with clients across Australia. Most of what I do can be handled securely online.
How do your fees work?
I’ll always give you a clear engagement letter setting out the scope and fees before any work begins, so there are no surprises. Bookkeeping and BAS are charged at an hourly rate; audits are quoted based on the fund or engagement.
